ELDERLY ASSIST PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: 17 October 2026
Elderly Assist (“the app”) are on-device assistant apps. This policy explains what information the app accesses, how it is used, and when it may be shared with other services.
INFORMATION AND PERMISSIONS
Features are optional. When you request a feature and grant the relevant Android permission, the app may access:
• Messages, to search or analyze messages when you ask.
• Call history and contacts, to help find or identify a person when you ask.
• Calendar events, to answer schedule questions or add an event you request.
• Approximate location, to identify your city for a location-related request.
• Microphone input, when you tap the microphone to dictate a request.
• Images and files, when you choose to capture or attach them.
• Notifications, to alert you about reminders you create.
The app uses this information to carry out the feature you requested. If you deny or revoke a permission, the related feature may not work; other features remain available.
ON-DEVICE PROCESSING AND STORAGE
The assistant model runs on your device. Image text recognition (OCR) is also performed on-device. Conversation history, reminders, settings, downloaded models, and attachment data may be stored locally by the app. Attached files and image previews may be kept in app storage while they are in use. You can remove attachments or clear app data to delete locally stored information.
ONLINE AND THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
If you use web search, the search terms needed to answer your request are sent to the configured search provider. If you connect a Google account or use a Google service, information needed for that feature is handled by Google. Speech recognition may be handled by the speech-recognition service selected on your device. These providers have their own privacy policies and data practices.
The app also uses the internet to download assistant models and other resources. Avoid including sensitive personal information in web searches.
SHARING AND SALE
Elderly Assist does not sell personal information. Information may be sent to the third-party services described above when you choose to use features that rely on them. Elderly Assist does not operate those services and cannot control their data practices.
YOUR CHOICES AND DELETION
You can deny or revoke permissions in Android settings, disconnect optional accounts, remove attachments, clear conversation history where the app provides that option, or uninstall the app. Uninstalling removes the app’s local data, subject to Android’s device backup and storage settings.
CHILDREN
The app is not designed specifically for children. A parent or guardian should supervise a child’s use of the app.
CHANGES AND CONTACT
This policy may be updated as the app changes. The latest version should be available at the privacy-policy link shown in Google Play and within the app.
